I work as a server at my home town's most popular fine dining restaurant. Our uniforms are of course black on black with the option to wear ties and suspenders (which makes me stand out because I'm the only server that chooses those dress options) however when it comes to sleeves, they are permitted to be worn neatly folded no more than halfway up your forearms. Even with my stretch fabric dress shirt, this has continually plagued me as it was a daily struggle to get a clean looking fold that also stayed put during my shift. As I'm always looking for ways to upgrade my uniform, I did a search for sleeve stay options and was gifted the discovery of Flxcuf.
At first I thought the nickel button would stand out too much but it actually adds a bit of flare that ties into the nickel finish on my watch, suspender adjusters and tie clip - so that continuity of look was a pleasant surprise and a welcome addition to my look.
The single fold look that these enable gives a VERY sophisticated and dare I say sexy look. No more are my sleeves triple folded and bunched up, now they look sleek, sharp, deliberately and delightfully well put together. You might think I should be talking more about how well they actually function (I'm getting to that) but if you're buying these like I did, you care alot about how you look and these little guys made a profound transformation on not only how I look but how I feel.
In regards to function, these little guys perform precisely as advertised. My forearms are not super skinny but also not very thick. Attaching each Flxcuf to the button closest to the sleeve opening helps provide a more comfortably snug fit for average to skinny forearm circumference. So far I have worn them through multiple busy work nights and that stay put reasonably well. Any time I felt the need to pull them up my firearm a tiny bit had more to so with my OCD, feeling them slip I micro-inch sets off an alarm in my head but in no way do they underperform. A far cry from continually fighting rolled and bunched up sleeves, Flxcuf truly enables your sleeve to stay put in not only an effectively comfortable way, but with the added bonus of giving you a refined, sexy and sophisticated look that sets you apart from anyone else working with you. In that respect only, it's a good thing these are not commonplace, because it feels amazing to stand out from the crowd.
I have already ordered a second set and did a test run to see if I'm able to leave them attached to my shirt when laundered - it works! What a relief, too, because I wasnt looking forward to attaching these to a clean work shirt every day. I'll be purchasing more in the coming months and hope you have found my review helpful. If you work in an industry that allows the casual look of a rolled sleeve, these work just as advertised and you'll look awesome wearing them!
